Center for the support of non-formal education (CeNef)
Headquarters: Prešov (Slovakia)
The Center for the Support of Informal Education (CeNef) is a non-governmental non-profit organization that was established in 2016. It was founded by experts who have been working with youth and informal education for a long time. It focuses on various activities and events, trying to spread awareness about non-formal education and apply non-formal education in practice. The main topics that we are currently working on and in which we use non-formal education methods and techniques for dissemination are: critical thinking, safe behavior in the online environment and the development of soft skills.
The Center for Non-formal Education Support (CeNef) is to be:
- a space for the dissemination of ideas, the meaning and benefit of informal education,
- an educational tool in the area of competence development for the personal and professional growth of people from various sectors,
- an opportunity to combine the experience, expertise and practice of lecturers, trainers, trainers and experts in the field of informal education with the creativity, creativity and dynamism of active people.
The Brontosaurus Movement
Headquarters: Brno (Czech Republic)
The Brontosaurus movement connects meaningful volunteer work with lifelong experiences. It has more than forty years of tradition, visible achievements, clear goals and more than 1,000 proud members who stand behind it. Every year, they go out with volunteers to mow orchid meadows, plant trees, repair castles or, for example, build a school in the Himalayas. To make everything work better, they have regional centers, basic articles and clubs all over the country that organize weekend events, holiday events, children’s camps, lectures and much more. The outputs of the project will help with informal education directly in the field at their historical sites and they believe that they will also inspire other young participants in the care of cultural heritage and culture as such.
The Teapot Association
Headquarters: Tomaszow Lubelski (Poland)
The organization works to develop the local community of Tomaszów, especially the youth, by implementing activities in the field of formal education (operating two schools) and informal education (coordinating activities related to volunteering). It organizes grant programs and scholarship programs. He runs a non-governmental incubator.
